Updating a gold frame Teen cybersex chat rooms
Lightly brush over the whole frame which will really pick up on that texture and the detail of the frame. Using baby wipes you rub any area that you would like to be gold.
I also dry brushed in Old White to really make the detail stand out and create a more layered paint effect. Unlike sand paper, baby wipes will only take off the paint and not disturb the gold.
Elevating it further on the wood stops your brush from accidentally hitting the table top/ floor and picking up bits. I went for a grey to compliment the mustard yellow wall it’s going to hang from.
I’m using Annie Sloan’s Paris Grey applied with a round head brush.
Before you shell out the $$$ on the new mirror try this project!
It's easy and you can change & layer any of the finishes to suit your styling needs.
For another layer of a darker pewter accent in the mirror frame I used part of the stiff bristle brush to dab a few randomly places for the finishing touch.
If you have dry brushed, be careful not to knock any areas you don’t want distressed because it will blend the effect. Just rub the wax over the paint, pushing as you go. Dark wax looks daunting but the more you use it the more you understand how it works.
I decided to only distress the boarder to highlight the lovely shape. Using a waxing brush, apply dark wax to every inch of the frame.
The first guests who saw the new installation were his brother and sweet wife visiting from California; they who arrived the day after the pictures were hung!! However, the painterly perfectionist in me thinks the white needs to contrast a little more with the walls — maybe a fun pop color…. We also love the wire trays and baskets from Aidan Gray — endless possibilities! They are perfect to add a contemporary twist to any room’s décor!!
